When “bricks” are meant for snorting, not building

The dream of the poor disenfranchised youth of any neighbor hood in America is to get rich quick. Many dreams of wealth include lotteries and the death of an old relative, but these are just dreams. The honest mistake of a wrong package delivered or a lost bag of money seem to never materialize for most. As Mike Epps’ character displayed in Next Day Air, TV providers, a wrongfully delivered package is a blessing. The happy dance is the same for the characters as it would be for anyone i know, along with the consequences for taking and keeping someone else’s package. Throughout the movie we see real life reactions to the situations these characters face, which is why so many people identify with the movie content. Characters must choose to be loyal, whether to the game, to their families or to each other, as their lives have been altered by the entrance of the cocaine in the box. This scenario could end many ways but as most who deal in cocaine know, this is not coca cola and it ends in death, prison or addiction. Of the survivors, one made the choice to live without the drug and just be a man.

An Inside Shipping Debacle?: Conspiracy or Landfall

What would you do if a large quantity of a highly valuable yet illegal substance appeared on your door step?

This is the central plot of the movie Next Day Air, starring Donald Faison and Mike Epps with Benny Boom as director. After a mix up with apartment numbers, two small time criminals find ten bricks of narcotics in an incorrectly delivered package and attempt to move the product on their own before the correct owners–literally the next door neighbours–discover the error.

In the film “Next Day Air” a lot of things happen, but the most prevalent occurrence is misplaces drugs. The film, released in 2009 by Summit Entertainment follows Leo, who works for the package delivery service Next Day Air. There is no excuse today in the business world for any form of misdelivery, although it happens everyday somewhere in the world. However, in the movie, “Next Day Air,” the question arises what is the form of redelivery or retribution that should happen when a misdelivery takes place? This is done in a very comedic manner.
